MedTel offers CT (computed axial tomography, also known as CAT) scans using the Toshiba Aquilion 64 CT Scanner. This produces high-speed, high-resolution imaging with the best low contrast resolution at the lowest radiation dose.
The scanner acquires 64 simultaneous slices of 0.5 mm with each 400-millisecond gantry revolution. The result is precise isotropic imaging of any region of the body during a breath-hold under ten seconds.

X-Ray and Ultrasound
Simple x-ray images can be extremely informative. They can show if a bone is broken or if there is a shadow on the lung, for example. By injecting contrast dye, specialist x-ray techniques can also be used to investigate other problems with soft tissues of the body.
Ultrasound or ultrasonography uses high frequency sound waves and echoes, similar to echo-location used by bats, whales and dolphins or the SONAR used by submarines. It is used in many clinical specialities including obstetrics and gynaecology, cardiology, vascular medicine, orthopaedics and sports medicine and in the detection of cancer. Ultrasound is also used to guide biopsies to sample tissues with extreme accuracy.
