Important note to all patients
MHL (Medilux Healthcare Ltd.) promotes selected clinics and certain specialities within individual hospitals, where we believe the standards of care and medical equipment to be exceptional. We provide you with general information and details of how to make contact with the centre.
Sometimes we provide a dedicated e-mail address and we pass your enquiry to the relevant department but we cannot advise or enter into correspondence about individual cases and we do not arrange or facilitate treatments. All the centres that we feature have international patient enquiry services which will be pleased to answer your questions about services and costs.
Klinik Hirslanden is the principal hospital of Switzerland's largest private healthcare provider and the Movement Clinic is concerned with all aspects of the human movement apparatus: bones, joints, muscles, tendons and ligaments. Changes in these may be congenital or the result of disease or 'wear and tear', or may arise from accidental injuries.
Ultramodern navigation systems are used in orthopaedic surgery, which assist the surgeon from the planning to the operation. Precise three-dimensional bone models are developed, e.g. during the implantation of hip and knee total endoprostheses. These enable the surgeons to place implants more precisely, with improved outcome for the patient.
Orthopaedic Hospital Vienna-Speising is one of Europe's leading orthopaedic clinics, with an outstanding, world-wide reputation. As a teaching hospital it offers state-of-the-art therapies and many department heads are professors and lecturers at the Medical University of Vienna.
It is also a leader in medical research, including development of biological treatments for damaged intervertebral discs in place of metal implants.
